Flower-III

As a curator, what draws me to this piece is how Ghossoub lets the CSW web finally rest. The black lines that stayed open and wiring-taut elsewhere here close into petals, folding through green and teal against a yellow so warm it reads as light rather than sky and the softest, least electric painting in the series. At its center sits one dark aperture where the whole tangle goes still, as if the structure were built around something it won’t quite reveal. What keeps it inside the CSW family, for me, is that same refusal to choose sides between the bloom and expanding;  you can’t say for certain whether you’re looking at a flower that learned to compute, or a circuit that learned to bloom.
